Hermitage Kroger Held Up

HERMITAGE, TN — A man asked for a pack of cigarettes and then pulled out a gun and demanded money at the Hermitage Kroger Tuesday afternoon, police say.

The suspect entered the store just after 3:30 p.m. After the man handed over money to pay for his smokes, the clerk opened the register and the suspect pulled a handgun, demanding cash. The clerk screamed and the robber took money from the register.

After hearing the clerk’s screams, a manager approached and the gunman pointed his weapon and then fled on foot.

The suspect is a black man with a thin build, standing approximately 5 feet, 6 inches.. He wore sunglasses and a ball cap.
